| It's not something we've discussed in any detail yet. Jing Ming has plans for something that I won't reveal... it's up to him to start hinting about the general idea when he's ready. (Hint Hint: I'm only gonna say that 'something' is on Jing Ming's mind. We've only brushed on what to do about the next event. My own hope is that the end of the Winds event will naturally lead us into something else, but it's far too early to do more than hope for the abstract of what that will be. Sooo... we'll see how things play out. Feel free to make suggestions and such, or tell tales in the Tavern section! | |

| Not a complaint but rather an observation but it would be nice if things moved a tiny bit faster. At the moment there does seem to be a fair amount of just waiting around. This might be solved when there is more inter-order interaction but for the moment its all GM led and I know this can be difficult to manage, especially with multiple scenes going on. | |

| Well it's not like I can do that until whatever is happening at the tavern is done! While useful I can't have Morek teleport!
...... Or can I? | |

| Welcome back, Pravenstern!
These are the last two Order supporters that I forgot to post about. >.> And one is the King!
Eventide
The Shadow Council of Singal is mysterious, powerful, and dangerous. Officially a Free City under the King, the Council often ignores Royal decrees. Those who have publicly spoken out against the government of Singal are silenced: Either by death or vanishing relatives. Singal is rarely even spoken of in official matters as a result, and the Shadow Council is virtually never mentioned by name anymore. When it is necessary, royal officials and other interested parties simply say 'Singal' as if the Shadow Council can hear them. Inside Singal they are the presumed to be the wealthiest men of the city. The exact composition of the Shadow Council is unknown, but the Grandmaster of the Eventide is known to be a member, as are certain 'Slaver Lords.' The Knights of the Eventide often serve as the messengers and enforcers of the Council's will within Singal and the surrounding lands.
Griffons
King Gundar II has ruled Pendor for a few years after the death of his brother Mordred III. He is generally thought to be an able administrator. As a ruler, however, he prefers to handle matters through intermediaries and with a soft touch. Royal Councillors are divided as to whether he is a master of intrigue, or simply lacking the confidence to rule more publicly. Regardless, he rarely chooses to appear in public, even on holidays or other occasions. As a result, the Royal Council is presumed to hold considerable power over the direction of Royal policy by outside nobles.

It is, nothing life-changing. Now, we finally get to see our liege! However, I was under the impression we were ruled by the still-living King Mordred III...

I just remembered something that was discussed in between my original posting of that paragraph and today. >.>

| hard to overlook...clearly the King should be named after the Kicker of Queens as tribute to Grandmaster Kamos slaying the pretender Haegon Sangendal on the silver throne itself. | |

| Nah, Kamos was a soldier, not a ruler. Kings are named after their ancestors or famous historical figures. | |

| Alright alright.. Gundar seems a smart man. If he likes to read at least call him Azrael. Though as a babe you wouldn't know he'd be so unlike the founder of his royal line, but meh. | |

Naming kings after a traitor of the Griffons would be bad taste, no? And sorry to hear that Laisha. I hope whatever is wrong gets better, or at least easier to deal with...

clearly I missed/forgot something... did the all-wise loremaster betray the King? It's complicated. Complicated in a manner similar to a box full of wires blended with a drill.

| Okay, here is the more appropriate version of the King!
King Mordred III has ruled Pendor for a quarter century now. After witnessing both of his brothers' deaths due to their extrovert personalities- Gundar in his lust to be seen as a great warrior-king, and Mordred's utter insanity- the new King become much colder towards his courtiers and vassals. He is thought of as a wise elder now, after restoring feudalism during the war between Lions and Griffons. As he is now in his late fifties, and has not replaced any of the close companions he had in his youth, he is often assumed to be of poor health. He is without question the wealthiest man in Pendor, and the single most powerful.

| Or sort of. Sorry for the unnanounced absence. Last week editors requested some changes in my chapter, and I'm also on a frenetic job hunt with an unpredictable schedule. So my presence will be sketchy. | |
