To sail the seas

So with the PoP RPG projects slowing down, and with the realization that the stories and kingdoms we created during the past three years might, sooner or later, enter oblivion and gradually fade into nonexistence, I came up with an idea to turn fiction into something palpable.

I propose we take a dense A5 paper, sign our characters' names on it, and send it to the others until we have it all filled: name, order, and a brief saying of us former Aftermath and AKD players. The result should be a nice piece of paper with something from each one of us.

The last receiver will be Laisha. Who'll then make a HD scan for the rest of us and who will keep the original, as one should expect.

There should be no worry about sharing addresses and such. Since we will only be receiving the letter from one person and sending to another, in case one of us turns out to be a serial killer he'll only be able to kill two of us tops.

I think this is cool thing to do, and pretty easy to make too. What do you think?

EDIT: No offense meant, Laisha, but I actually think the last recipient should be Mordred. After all he was the one who gave Aftermath its distinct shape and he kept being involved as master-mind and game designer in the spin-offs like AKD and Pendor Renewed, so he should be the one to keep the original.

I had Laisha in mind mostly due to the über effort she made both here and in Aftermath. That's no problem, though. We can make two cards instead of only one and send them packed together.

Just send me your e-mail. I'm waiting for others to confirm before deciding the logistics, but if everyone agrees to do it I suppose the best route will be South America -> Australia and Singapore -> Europe-> UK -> US and Canada.

That means I'd be sending it to DrSane and wouldn't need your address.

I think we should wait one more week for other confirmations. It's not like we're currently bustling with activity.

Yeah, I'm sorry Saeros. We've had so many people from Aftermath fading into inactivity that it doesn't have the same appeal to me as it would have had a few years ago.

I think it is a nice idea. I am in. Iskar and me live relatively close to one another if I am not mistaken; just something to consider when it comes to who sends the package to whom.

I've seen roleplaying sites with 4-5 players before... although it would mean completely dropping the large scale order plotting, and mean focusing on smaller-scale RPing with more focus on characters.

I've been gone for too long; I'm afraid I don't even know what that is.

In any case, I suppose everyone is quite tired of this. I'm not, and I know Iskar is not, but then again, perhaps it's just best to let it be.

Errm, you are aware though, that we are not planning another RP but to simply send a piece of paper around the world for everyone to sign their character names on it, for the sake of remembrance of the glorious times we had together?
