Change Log

Updates 29/05/13

- Seamen granted first ship at 50% renown.
- All characters get 3 free traits at creation.
- Adventurers get additional 2 free traits (5 traits total) OR an exceptional item.
- Merchants gain Wealthy trait instead of "Naturally Wealthy".
- Finesse gain +1 Skill with Swords or Daggers (but not when dual wielding).
- Craftsmen split into Journeyman and Master Craftsmen.
- Journeymen can ID items and make them.
- Master can improve existing items.
- Assigned Hardy (3WP) / Skilful (2WP, 1Skill) / Speedy Orders (2WP, 1Speed) (Dragons, Gauntlets, Legion / Griffons, Radiant Cross, Eventide, Dawn / Clarion Call, Silvermists). These
- Added Sharpshooter (Extended range for Bows and Crossbows.)
- Scout and Ranger starting traits modified.
- Horse Archer trait added.

NPC Chart;

- Updated with new Weapon and Armour Rules
- Added Order bonus to the Top Tier (Knightly) units.
- Barclay Conquistadores armed with Barclay Medium instead of Heavy.
- Stats added for all units.
- Renamed Forlorn Hope to Mettenheim Greatswords (there is no reason Pendor Orders should be hiring members of the Mettenheim premier Order).
- Griffon Greatswords added (they do not receive the Skilful bonus - their Mettenheim gear is decent replacement).
- Removed Eventide sword (they just use the mace and shield now)

- Note; WP base is 1 for all NPCs... this is to make the PC characters slightly "better". Many games do this to give the player a sense of heroic ability without overpowering them.

Light : +1WP, +1Speed
Medium : +2WP
Heavy : +4WP, -2Speed

- Priests regained one "Good" proficiency.

Modified Upgrades Slightly

All weapon renown upgrades should now tally with the listed ones under the weapon traits section.

10 Renown : Weapon Upgrade (Heavy) - Blunt Weapons Only, Stacks with Balanced.
15 Renown : Weapon Upgrade (Keen) - Cutting / Piercing Weapons Only, Stacks with Balanced.
5 Renown : Weapon Upgrade (Balanced) - Stacks with Heavy or Keen.
100 Renown : Weapon Upgrade (Masterwork) - Does not stack

(Note Keen has gone up in price from 5 to 15, it's better than Heavy).

Crushing and Poisoned removed.

Adventurers' heavy armours give them only 3 WP instead of 4. FIXED
Clarion Call knights have 1 too much SP. FIXED
Drakes receive SP penalty from their medium armours. FIXED
Eventide Ghilmen have +1 speed from mount, probably meant mobility. FIXED

Modified the Craftsman traits. We were thinking of implementing a full crafting system, however this rapidly became too complex, so instead we've made it that Craftsmen can create items for cheaper - note this is only for their own characters, and does not affect equipping Adventurers.

Journeyman Craftsman : You are able to make many items, given the right tools and equipment.
Quote :
May craft basic items and assess the quality of any equipment.
20% discount on new items and their upgrades.

Master Craftsman : You are able to efficiently craft virtually any item. Requires Journeyman Craftsman.
Quote :
May craft complex items, and assess the quality of any equipment.
Further 20% discount on new items and their upgrades (40% total).

- Specialist fields removed, a craftsman can make anything.
