It was cold, he had put on a jacket right after getting up and forgot he actually needed to change. This was not on the campus - he's about 40 and it was on a company.

The Amala details have finally been posted. I originally wrote it as a letter from a scholar to a Princess of Pendor, but that was removed for some reason or another. So it's still sorta IC, but not exactly!

Depends on the system. If you needed to roll under, your hips have essentialy exploded with the force of a small missile.

Yes. The Crown Prince is ruling as Regent in Amala, a kind of practice for ruling Pendor.

Even though Amala is still not a peaceful land and Law and Order has to be established in every generation? Seems a bit strange to send every generation's crown prince to a war-torn land...except, ofcourse, if he only rules a specific region instead of the whole of Amala. (Though, ofcourse the title could be 'regent of Amala', although there's no Amala under Pendor's rule..)

If Pendor only rules a portion of Amala, shouldn't it say that he brings order to that specific region instead?

Well, I think Amala could a sort of baby's-first-kingdom sort of deal. Let the inexperienced prince get some qualifications to rule by being a regent of Amala for years. Besides, the peace has been established twice (PoP4 and Brencis), and we are having our third/fourth (can't recall) king. This implies at least one or two crown princes have had a relatively peaceful rule.

Also, am I correct to assume that the protectorate covers the Ashenborn Empire and Snake Dominion from PoP4?

I thought the lore of PoP4 was to stop Azi Dahaka, not establish peace. That they specifically said as much on the forums, if that's the case perhaps the alternate lore should have some explanation as to how and why.

I understand this could be the case..but it's not a country at peace and therefore to rule the 'colony' is perhaps much more challenging than ruling Pendor.
