I'm going to steal power from the heart of a god using Dwarven tools and various 'literal metaphors' of music. Then I shall declare that all previous gods were simply aspects of the true glory (me!). That thins out the ranks quite well!

Surely nothing will go wrong, and I'll never lose access to that heart...


Edit: Anyway, one of the main goals here was to keep the metagame aspects as narrowly tailored as possible. We also wanted to keep the scope focused on the player characters rather than the Orders... otherwise it's very easy to fall into a situation where one person is playing the Order, and everyone else is just watching. And that metagame was scary enough to make my jaw drop. >.> You're always welcome to write whatever stories you please, of course. Letting go of a character before you're ready is never easy.

I for one, await the day when I can dwell side-by-side with Astraea in the hearts of Pendorians. However, first I have some business with a couple of ladies named Azi and Erida...

So...after playing a game of rolling dice, apparently the Snake Cult has amassed the greatest army in their history to invade Pendor. Also, lots of demons. Lots and lots of demons. I may not be cut out for this deity thing.

Those of you that want to see a real King getting crowned; tomorrow it's all going to happen in The Netherlands.

at 10 AM our current monarch, Queen Beatrix, abdicates.
at 2 PM Prince of Orange, Willem-Alexander, will become King.

These are local times at GMT +1. Both ceremonies will last a meager 30 minutes. (If I recall correctly, ofcourse)

It's a shame indeed, but the Wilhelmus fits every situation. For those that don't know; there was a song especially made for the crowning today, but it was full of grammar and language errors and had a sad feeling for what is supposed to be a joyful day.

And the rapping was... terrible. I was given what was termed 'actually a pretty decent translation' after listening to the song. Wow. Copying the Kaiserhymne and converting it to the Dutchified Konighymne would have been better! They should have taken up a worldwide collection to pay for a new song... I'd have contributed.

But now that the Dutch have a King again, perhaps it's time for the French to get their Bonaparte Emperor back...

The Eventide and the Gauntlet still need to make their Order HQs. Varys, crack the slave whip!

The Eventide have two fortresses, so they'll need to be just 'normal' or even a bit weak castles and not the godly fortifications of the other Orders. The Gauntlet has their own special outpost, so keep that in mind.

Minecraft-building them is strongly encouraged.

I suppose we'll need to make the Shadow Legion and Silvermist areas too, since we lack normal players for those Orders.

Yeah. I thought the Crazy evil knights Eventide had Singal as their "fortress".

Well, they don't own Singal, so technically, it's not their fortress.

It might as well be their fortress though. Their Grandmaster is on the ruling council and who is going to tell an Eventide Knight no when he wants to do something?

We determined where they are, but not the rough layout. Every Order has a chapterhouse in the city of their Supporter, plus a fortress of their own. The Eventide/Silvermist have no chapterhouses of their own. The Eventide also has two fortresses... but they're smaller and much more practical to besiege.

The other Orders have made their own places. Scalekeep with its massive walls for the Dragons, Dawnbreak for the Dawn... built into a mountain with a rather tricky approach to the gatehouse, the 'unsurprisible' hospital camp of the Radiant Cross, the Griffon's retreat for a last stand, etc. Most of them just use a simple paint drawing for the layout, and include a note about any special features.

It's not urgent, but we would like to have things settled well before the castles may come into play. If you don't have anyone with any artistic talent (like me!) then the simple map isn't necessary. A rough design can be described easily enough, along with secret entrances, super high walls, etc.

So we need psychzoa and his Microsoft Paint skills.

Psychozoa was actually the first to create a fortress, I think!
