| If you think your character earned a trait during the first event, please post about it here. | |

| I'd like to put forth an increase in skill from 1 to 2 for Morek's ability to wield his morningstar given his performance in battle, what with going up against the outriders and breaking the arm of a Griffon knight while only being lightly wounded in return. | |

| I think that's acceptable.
I'd also like to put myself forward for the next level of command and / or advanced tactician. I think my efforts winning that battle when outnumbered and outgunned have warranted it.

| I think the next level of command would be fitting given Klaus's IC inexperience and him winning his first engagement (Unless I don't remember his bio right) not so much the tactician increase because if I remember right you outnumbered us near the end | |

| Quite a bit of the tactical element was involved before the public engagement, like establishing communications with other guard posts (hence our reinforcements), and the ruse which kicked the entire battle off in the first place... admittedly that part didn't quite go to plan. | |

| I'd view that more as strategy/command than tactican which is what got you out of the burning house and into position to pull off your surround.
Uh. I think. | |

| I saw it the other way around, heh. Command would be direct control over troops, while tactician would be creating and executing plans.
I'd be quite happy for a trait which is "strategist" instead of advanced tactician though, that would likely make more sense?

| what does a command or strategist trait do anyway? if you are indeed a good strategist you wouldn't need the trait and would simply make good strategies, because... that's the whole point no? | |

As far as i remember your strategical brilliance comes in form of GM hints. For example GM pm's something like "you can see that enemies flank is visibly open."

| I would suspect that it also modifies your chances of ruses and things actually working, or that soldiers understand and carry out orders to their intended conclusion. | |

| It does have an impact on success through the roll modifiers, and hints are also provided. Try as we might to make it purely RP focused, we don't have all of the variables locked down that would be available IRL, and so we end up with differing views of what is tactically and strategically sound. Still, trying to sneak into a castle by using an army to chisel through the walls will result in failure regardless of the traits. | |

| Depends on what you want. A character with high command and tactics levels would certainly lose a single battle against another who focuses on solo fighting. | |

| What about modifying the existing Tactician trait for Klaus to 'renowned tactician' or 'experienced tactician'?
At this stage he has studied tactical command, and has proven himself to be an effective commander of highly disciplined troops.... and others know it. So it would have two effects. The first is just a little higher modifier on the roll, to represent his troops having full/total trust in whatever order he has given when it comes to complex tactics. The second is recognition from NPCs of his effectiveness as a commander... it's the start of little-r renown for his trait.

| Any other thoughts on Klaus receiving 'Experienced Tactician' from event 1?
And what do you think about Morek receiving Exceptional Morningstar-wielder from this event? (He already has Good.)
Are there any others? | |

because Klaus' tactical mind turned the odds in their favor..and the odds were very dire for the Griffons once fire came into play.. I cannot deny him that trait. - Isabel Tenorio wrote:

Although he beat the crap out of a lot of guys with that stick, who says it wasn't beginner's luck? (personal lore does, but still let's see him do that again before he becomes exceptional at swinging his stick around)

| Before we begin Event 1 and close this matter, does anyone else care to weigh in on Arcanum's claim to a boost in Maceman?
So far Klaus agreed that it was acceptable, given that Morek crushed a fair number of skulls during the event. Sigwald stated that, more or less, one engagement doesn't show the trend of an Exceptional Maceman.
